Getting started

Whatbot is self-serve. From sign-up to your first WhatsApp message takes about fifteen minutes, most of it inside Meta’s own window.

Go to whatbot.in/signup and pick whichever is quickest:

  • Continue with Google
  • A code on WhatsApp or SMS to your mobile number
  • Your work email with a password, or a one-time sign-in link

There’s no form to fill in. Your workspace is set up as soon as you sign in. If you signed up with a code on WhatsApp or SMS, we ask for one thing: an email for your invoices. Your business name comes from the verification in the next step, and you can change it later in Settings.

Press Verify business. You’re taken to our verification page, where you confirm your GSTIN. It usually takes about a minute, and you come straight back. No GST number? Choose Verify with PAN instead.

A GSTIN must be Active with the GST department to pass.

One seat is one person who signs in — you included. Pick how many, and how you’d like to pay:

PlanPrice per seat
Monthly₹2,499 a month
Yearly (20% off)₹23,990.40 a year — ₹1,999.20 a month

Prices are the whole amount; there’s nothing added at checkout.

  • Monthly renews automatically by UPI Autopay, card or bank mandate. Over ₹15,000 a month (7 or more seats), your bank’s rules need a bank mandate (netbanking or debit card).
  • Yearly is paid once for the year by card, UPI or netbanking. We remind you 15 and 3 days before it renews.

Your workspace switches on the moment the payment goes through.

First decide: must this number keep working in the WhatsApp Business app on your phone? If yes, connect it through Meta’s window below — it stays in the app. If not, and your business already has a WhatsApp Business Account, you can instead share that account with us; see Choose your path. You can’t add the phone app back to a number later, so decide now.

In Settings → WhatsApp Connection, press Connect WhatsApp (Embedded Signup). Meta’s window opens:

  • Sign in with an established personal Facebook profile that is an admin of your business’s existing business portfolio. Meta refuses brand-new profiles.
  • When Meta asks for a business portfolio, pick your existing one. Never create a new portfolio here — Meta can permanently disable a new portfolio that carries a known brand’s name.

Then, in Meta:

  • Add a payment method for WhatsApp’s own message charges in Meta Billing & payments (country India, currency INR) — on this WhatsApp Business Account, since cards aren’t shared between accounts. Without it, you can receive messages but not send template messages.
  • Create your message templates and wait for Meta to approve them. Templates belong to one WhatsApp Business Account and don’t carry over from another.

Stuck? The WhatsApp Setup guide has both paths step by step and a troubleshooting table.

Top up your Whatbot wallet in Settings → Billing & wallet, then send yourself a test template from Broadcasts.

Invite teammates from Settings → Team. Each person takes a seat. Need more? Settings → Plan & seats → Add seats — they work straight away, and you pay only for the rest of the current month or year.

Settings → Plan & seats shows your seats in use, invoices and next payment.

  • A payment fails? We retry automatically, then give you 7 days in which everything still works. After that, sending pauses — incoming messages still arrive and nothing is deleted — until you pay again.
  • Cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
